Director of Emergency Preparedness

Veronica Verone has 20 years of emergency management experience, and has been the Director of Emergency Preparedness for the pass 10 years here at the Office of Risk Management.  Veronica is the recipient of the State of North Carolina Emergency Management Director Award for her outstanding leadership, knowledge, decision making and vision in hurricane planning, response and recovery for the staff, faculty, and students at Terra Dotta University.  Her experience includes employment at the Duke Gas & Electric Nuclear Power Plant as Radiological Emergency Preparedness Administrator, establishment of emergency management protocols for a course presentation to the Ministry of Interal Affairs in Bosnia-Herzegovina, and is a Certified Homeland Security III responder.
